Guenter Schmidmeir

Guenter Schmidmeir has extensive work experience in various roles within the shipping and logistics industry. Guenter is currently serving as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Avlino since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Member of Industry Advisory Board at Avlino since January 2022.

From 2019 to 2021, Schmidmeir worked at Kalmar as the Senior Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing Kalmar Automation Solutions. Before that, they held the position of Senior Vice President Global Terminal Operators at Kalmar from 2017 to 2019.

Schmidmeir was the General Manager and Vice President EMEA at Navis from 2010 to 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Sr. Sales Director EMEA at Zebra Technologies Corporation from 2008 to 2010. Before that, they worked as the Sales Director EMEA at Zebra, ZES/Navis LLC from 2006 to 2008.

From 2004 to 2006, Schmidmeir worked as the Sales Manager EMEA at Navis International LLC. Guenter also held various roles at Navis from 2000 to 2004, including Global Account Manager and Project Manager.

Prior to joining Navis, Schmidmeir worked as a Port and Logistics Consultant at HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH from 1999 to 2000.

Guenter Schmidmeir has a diverse education history. Guenter pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at Hamburg University of Technology from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a Dipl. Ing. Oec. Guenter then went on to attend Chaminade University of Honolulu from 1997 to 1998, where they obtained an MBA with a specialization in International Business/Trade/Commerce. Finally, in 2005 to 2006, they attended the University of Antwerp and completed an MSc in Maritime Economy.
