Mark Dehlin

Director Advanced Software Technologies at AVN Corp.

Mark Dehlin has extensive experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Mark began their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Captain and managed various engineering efforts. After leaving the military, they worked for DSD Labs as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on software reuse and infrastructure support. Mark then joined the WVHTC Foundation, where they served in various roles including Director for Applied Research and Interim Vice-President of Research, leading research projects in software engineering, software testing, and information security. Mark also worked at CSC, where they held the positions of BFC Deputy Program Manager and Fairmont Operations Manager, overseeing biometric research, education and training, interoperability standardization, and product capability analysis. Most recently, Mark worked at AVN Corp. as the Director of Advanced Software Technologies, responsible for software engineering research and development for various government departments, focusing on geographical information systems, big data, artificial intelligence, and mobile applications.

Mark Dehlin completed their education in two stages. Mark obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University between the years 1980 and 1984. Mark later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same university, completing it from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, Dehlin also obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in December 2006.
