Mike Norris

Mike Norris has had a diverse work experience over the years. Mike began their career as an Associate Consultant at LEK Partnership in 1987, and later moved on to become an Audit Supervisor at Coopers & Lybrand in 1989.

In 1994, they joined Rio Tinto as a Senior Financial Analyst, and subsequently held various roles including CFO at Kennecott Ridgeway Mining Co., Mill Manager at Kennecott Ridgeway Mining Co., and CFO at Kennecott Greens Creek Mining Co. During their time at Rio Tinto, Mike gained valuable experience in managing financial operations and driving improvements in maintenance, process recoveries, and operating costs.

In 2001, Mike became the Finance Director at Regents Park Healthcare Ltd before moving on to Anglo American in 2002. At Anglo American, they took on the role of Head of Financial Planning and Analysis before being promoted to Head of Business Performance in the Industrial Minerals division. Mike held this position until 2007.

Since 2007, Mike has been working as the Finance Director at Avocet Mining. Overall, Mike Norris has a strong background in finance and experience in various leadership roles across different industries.

Mike Norris attended Bedford School from 1978 to 1983. Following this, they pursued a degree in Classics 2i at Pembroke College, Cambridge from 1984 to 1987.
