David Connell

David Connell has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. David began their career in 2005 as a Graduate Engineer at Cork County Council, where they assisted senior engineers in the design of road schemes and improvement projects. In 2007, they joined Arcadis as a Graduate Civil Engineer and later progressed to the role of Senior Civil Engineer. At Arcadis, David worked on several high-profile projects in Qatar and Australia, including the Doha Truck Orbital and Pacific Highway Upgrade. David was responsible for managing the workload of other engineers, delivering highway design packages, and ensuring projects were completed within time and budget. In 2015, David joined AECOM as a Senior Civil Engineer before transitioning to their current role as VP Marketing EMEA at Avolon in 2019.

David Connell has a strong educational background in the field of Civil Engineering. David completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree at University College Cork from 1999 to 2003. David then pursued further studies in the same field and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from the same institution from 2003 to 2005. In 2016, David decided to diversify their knowledge and enrolled at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School to pursue a Master's degree in Aviation Finance with a specialization in Aircraft Leasing, which they completed in 2017.
