Albert Lai

Founder & AI Head at Avoma

Albert Lai is the Co-Founder of Avoma, a company that provides meeting intelligence through the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Albert has over six years of experience in the tech industry, having previously worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at LinkedIn and as the Android Lead at Pulse.

Lai started their career at Pulse as the company's first engineering hire. Albert was responsible for creating the Pulse application for Android, which went on to be downloaded over 10 million times. Pulse was acquired by LinkedIn in April 2013.

At LinkedIn, Lai led the Content Mobile team for the LinkedIn Flagship apps (both iOS and Android). Albert was responsible for shipping products for sharing, LinkedIn posts, and video.

Lai has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

Albert Lai first attended the University of California, Berkeley where they obtained their BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science as well as Materials Science & Engineering. Afterwards, they went on to Stanford University to earn their MS in Computer Science.
