EcoCAR EV Challenge
Paavani Rai is an accomplished engineer and leader in the field of rocketry and aerospace engineering. Currently serving as President of the Longhorn Rocketry Association since August 2021, Paavani oversees innovative projects related to launch and propulsion systems, while leading a team of over 100 members. Paavani has held multiple roles such as Chief Engineer for Propulsion Systems and Experimental Team Lead within the association, focusing on developing small experimental projects, including scientific payloads. As a Systems, Design, and Integration Engineer in the EcoCAR EV Challenge, Paavani contributes to enhancing the performance of electric vehicles. Previous experience includes an internship at Siemens and a hardware team role at Texas Aerial Robotics. Paavani is pursuing dual Bachelor's degrees in Computational Science and Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, with an expected graduation in 2025.
