Ck Birla

Ck Birla is currently the Chairman at AVTEC Limited. Prior to this, they were the Vice President at John Deere from March 2006 to November 2016. Ck's responsibilities included production, maintenance, tactical purchase, stores and quality function in Vehicle Assembly & Paint shop areas.

Birla was instrumental in developing strategy for mix-model production line - value based & volume based strategy. Ck also actively participated in management reviews (Product, Marketing & Finance councils). Additionally, they ensured periodic budget goals were met without compromising safety & quality.

During their time at John Deere, Birla conceptualized and established Green Field Tractor plant in Indore – land to production. Ck also led union contract negotiations and successfully achieved increased production levels and improved product first pass yield. Ck's commitment to continuous improvement resulted in the completion of more than 5000 projects.

Birla was accredited with an award for commendable contribution in 2012. Ck also ensured Linearity (plan Vs actual) was improved from 40% to 70%. Furthermore, they proficiently enhanced productivity from 0.43 to 0.55 in a year and executed Deere Production System with a silver certification scoring 88% within a span of 18 months, a record in John Deere worldwide facilities.

Ck Birla graduated with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in HR management from R.A. Podar institute of management, Jaipur. Ck also holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering Andheri (West) Mumbai 400 058.
