Richard Herrera has a diverse and extensive work experience in the audio and production industry. Richard started their career as a Systems Tech at Rat Sound Systems, Inc in 2003. Richard then worked as a Head Audio Engineer at The Glass House from 2004 to 2008, where they managed the operations of audio engineers and served as a Front of House or Monitor engineer for shows. Richard also worked as a Senior Audio Engineer at The Key Club from 2004 to 2008.

In 2008, Richard joined Lupe Fiasco as a Tour Manager/Production Manager/FOH Engineer, where they handled production management duties for shows worldwide. Richard also conducted FOH engineering and managed audio, lighting, video, backline, special effects, crews, and logistics for the artist's live shows and broadcast events. Richard worked on various tours such as Glow in the Dark, Big Day Out, and Generation Lasers.

Richard then worked as an Entertainment Tech at Carnival Cruise Lines in 2008, followed by a role as a Monitor Engineer for B.o.B from 2010 to 2011.

In 2014, Richard started working at AVT Productions, where they held multiple roles. Richard served as a Lead Audio Engineer, overseeing audio system upgrades and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audio at events from 2014 to 2016. Richard then became the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, Production Manager, Technical Director, and Lead Audio Engineer for events from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they played a key role in implementing Traction EOS as a company standard, improving warehouse core processes, and upgrading inventory to enhance productivity and efficiency. From 2019 to 2021, Richard served as the Technical Director, contributing to the company's overall direction and implementing core processes in the Production Department. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Operations at AVT Productions, where they continue to lead the Production Team and contribute to the company's growth and culture.

Richard Herrera received an Associate's degree in Live Show Production & Touring from Full Sail University in the school year 2002-2003. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including Dante Certification Level II from Audinate in August 2019, OSHA 30 General Industry from OSHA Campus Online in July 2018, and CPR & AED certification from Life Safety Associates in December 2019.
