Kevin Chiu

Kevin Chiu has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Kevin started their career as a Consultant and Applications Developer at Avum Inc. in 1998, where they worked as a subcontractor and software architect for various clients including Canon USA and the U.S. Navy. Kevin then joined Canon USA in 2004 as a Software Architect, where they worked for more than 10 years. At Canon, they developed ERP and logistics business applications, built the claim process in Canon's Sales Process Management System, and created their B2B reseller and retailer website data service. In September 2020, Kevin returned to Avum Inc. as the Senior Vice President & CTO. In this role, they lead enterprise website content management and development, application integration, and is responsible for building new systems and determining achievable solutions within the customer's tech stack. Kevin also manages the project schedule, milestones, and utilizes metrics-based management.

Kevin Chiu obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science/Computer Science from UC Irvine. In May 2017, they obtained the LPIC-1 certification from the Linux Professional Institute. In May 2021, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA.
