Igor Kova

Igor Kova has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to present. Igor has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in technology and leadership.

From 2019 to present, Igor has been working as the Chief Technology Officer at Avy-Tmpl. In this role, they lead the technical team, defines the technical vision, and contributes to the company's operational and product strategies. Igor is responsible for system architecture and infrastructure, utilizing a technical stack that includes large data ingestors, containerized environments, serverless technologies, and advanced third-party integrations.

Prior to Avy-Tmpl, Igor worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Loop Industries from 2017 to 2019. Here, they focused on utilizing technology to increase productivity and decrease environmental footprint in the construction and transportation industries. Igor led engineering teams, designed system and infrastructure architecture, and actively participated in product and strategic management groups. Their technology stack included JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, Android, iOS, Docker, AWS, and Terraform.

In addition to their CTO roles, Igor also worked as the Head of Infrastructure at Loop Industries from 2017 to 2019. In this role, they built secure and reliable infrastructure on AWS ECS (Fargate) with a strong focus on security.

Before joining Loop Industries, Igor held positions at Aramex as the Head of Technology and Cloud Architect in 2016 and at Schibsted Media Group as an Engineering Manager, Development Team Lead, and Senior Software Engineer from 2013 to 2016. At Schibsted, they worked on a full-stack e-commerce platform, led and built teams, and focused on architecture, migration projects, and technical roadmaps.

In 2012, Igor co-founded Transport Dispatch, where they served as the Co-founder and CTO. This platform facilitated the digitalization of small-to-medium transportation businesses. Igor led the end-to-end development process, including backend architecture, modular frontend, native applications, and scalable infrastructure.

Back in 2009, Igor started their career as a Software Engineer at a software consultancy. Igor worked with clients from various fields, focusing on architecture, database design, and working with backend, front-end, and mobile technologies.

Igor Kova began their education in 2006 at FER, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Igor successfully completed this program in 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, Igor pursued further education at FER and obtained a Master's degree in Information and Communication Technology between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, in 2011, they participated in the Erasmus Student Exchange Programme at Aalborg University, where they focused on Vision Graphics and Interactive Systems.
