Jan Kinnunen

Jan Kinnunen has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering.

Jan started their career at Nokia Siemens Networks in 2011 and worked as a SW Engineer until April 2012.

Later in 2012, they joined Mativation Oy as a SW Engineer where they worked on various tasks such as MiWi wireless sensor networks, MATLAB programming, and reading sensor data from a serial port.

In 2013, they worked as a SW Engineer at Gurulogic Microsystems Oy on a contract basis for two years.

From 2012 to 2013, they also worked as a SW Engineer at Ericsson.

In 2015, they joined Polar Electro Oy as a Software Engineer on a contract basis, and they worked there until 2017.

In 2017 alone, they worked for three different companies. Jan started as a SW Designer at Nokia from May to September, then worked as a SW Engineer at ACECODE KY from October to December, and finally, worked at Polar Electro Oy as a SW Engineer on another contract from December 2017 to January 2018.

From February 2018 to August 2019, they worked for Rolls-Royce as a Senior Software Engineer, specifically focusing on Ship Intelligence.

Currently, they are working as a Senior SW Engineer at AWAKE.AI, a position they have held since September 2019.

Jan Kinnunen pursued their education at HAMK from 1992 to 1996. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Computer Science and Information and Computer Technology. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Technology.
