Anette Miwa Dimmen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Anette Miwa began their career as a PR executive at "freuds" in 2002, followed by a role as Head of Promotions at "The Retreat" in 2002-2003. Anette Miwa then worked as an Event and Promotions Manager at "Woodys" in 2003-2004. From 2005 to 2008, they served as Senior Account Manager at "Fieldwork AS". In 2009, Anette joined "Nina Jarebrink" as the Head of PR & Event, a position they held until 2011. During this time, they worked on national and international sales strategies, partnerships, PR relations, fashion show productions, and event planning. Anette then joined "Square" as a Consultant/partner in 2009 and remained with the company until 2017. In 2018, Anette founded their own direct-to-consumer brand called "AWAN: As We Are Now", focusing on wellness-based fashion for women. Anette Miwa designed modular collections using future fabrics, circular principles, and a tech-enabled business model. In 2019, they also worked as an Entrepreneur at "Antler". Anette's most recent work experience is as an Ambassador at "HON (Anette Miwa'sOnline Network)" starting from November 2020. Throughout their career, they have also pursued their passion as a professional singer-songwriter and recording artist under the name "MIWA" from 1997 to 2009.

AWAN (As We Are Now)

AWAN (As We Are Now) is a Scandinavian direct-to-consumer brand designing wellness based fashion for women, based on future fabrics, circular principles and a tech enabled business model. Initially launched and funded with crowdfunding campaigns, AWAN quickly became a favorite amongst women not willing to compromise comfort for style and theother way around. Spring 2020 the brand received its first pre-seed investment from early stage VC Antler Stockholm and saw a 300% surge in sales during covid, with increased focus on WFH apparel. In 2021 AWAN started to scale with impressive MoM growth in Norway and Sweden, and is now raising a pre-seed round for further market expansion.
