Scot Nielson is an accomplished technical lead and back-end software engineer at Awardco since January 2022. Previously, Scot served as a web developer and designer at BYU Career Services, where a STEM education and recruiting website was designed and developed. Experience includes roles such as a research assistant at the Department of Statistics at Brigham Young University, focusing on podcast data and monetization research, and a software developer analyst at Flint Hills Resources, where Scot implemented database solutions for project planning. Additional experience includes producing for BYU Broadcasting, teaching SAS programming as an assistant, and serving as a volunteer representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where Scot managed logistics for over 150 representatives. Scot holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics with a focus on Data Science, along with minors in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Design Thinking from Brigham Young University.
