Mary McClain

Mary McClain has worked in the field of data science for over seven years. Mary began their career in 2014 as a Corporate Strategy Analyst at Raytheon. In 2015, they moved to BMW Financial Services as a Planning & Controls Analyst. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Alliance Data Card Services in various roles, including Data Scientist, Lead Decision Analyst, and Sr. Decision Analyst. Mary is currently a Senior Data Scientist and Chair of the Curriculum Committee - Analytics Advisory Council at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where they are responsible for advancing the strategic initiatives of Fisher and advising faculty members on industry trends.

Mary McClain has a diverse educational background. From 2010 to 2014, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Relations with an Economics concentration from The College of Wooster. In 2018, they went on to earn a Specialized Master in Business Analytics from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. Additionally, Mary has obtained various certifications from DataCamp, including Building Dashboards with flexdashboard, Machine Learning Toolbox, Machine Learning with Tree-Based Models in R, Sentiment Analysis in R, Scalable Data Processing in R, Introduction to R, and Intro to SQL for Data Science. Mary also holds a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 certification from SAS.
