Lauren Grawert

Lauren Grawert, MD has extensive experience in the medical field, with their most recent role being the Chief Medical Officer at Aware Recovery Care, Inc. starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Addiction Psychiatrist at Inspire Behavioral Health from April 2022 to April 2023 and at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group from February 2022 to April 2022. Lauren also has experience as a Service Chief and Assistant Chief, Addiction Psychiatrist at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group and Kaiser Permanente, respectively. Additionally, they have worked as a Staff Psychiatrist at Palmetto Behavioral Health System, LLC, The Carolina Center For Behavioral Health, and Georgia Regional Hospital at Savannah. Dr. Grawert began their medical career as a Resident Doctor at the Medical University of South Carolina, where they also completed their medical education as a Medical Student at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine.

Dr. Lauren Grawert completed their education at various institutions. Lauren began their undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in 2001, focusing on pre-medicine and pre-medical studies. Lauren then transferred to Clemson University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature. Following this, they attended the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine from 2005 to 2009 and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Dr. Grawert continued their medical education at the same institution by completing a Psychiatry Residency from 2009 to 2013. Finally, they pursued an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship from 2013 to 2014 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
