Frances Raftis has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Frances began their career as a Software Developer, Co-op at Safe Software in September 2008, where they worked until August 2009. Frances then moved on to Tantalus as a Software Developer in June 2010 and stayed with the company until October 2012. Frances then joined Dell Canada as a Software Developer Sr. Analyst in October 2012 and left in July 2013. Frances then worked at The University of British Columbia as a Bioinformatician / Software Developer from September 2013 to June 2014. Currently, Frances is working at Awesense Wireless Inc. as a Software Engineer, starting in September 2014.

Frances Raftis obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree from The University of British Columbia, specializing in Computer Science and Statistics. This degree was earned from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, Frances pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computational Biology and Molecular Evolution, completing it from McMaster University between 2002 and 2006. Frances Raftis's undergraduate education was completed at the University of Toronto - University College, where they earned an Honours Bachelor of Science (Hons. B.Sc.) degree in Molecular Plant Biology from 1998 to 2002.
