Norman van der Gaag has a diverse work experience in various industries. Norman started their career in 1994 as a Chemical Process Engineer at DBM, where they worked until 1998. Following that, they joined TNO Science and Industry in 1997 as a Technical Researcher, and left in 1998. In 1999, they became the Sales Director at AWETA - World of Sorting Technology, a position they currently hold.
Norman van der Gaag has a degree in Technical Physics from HTS. Norman also attended Westland Zuid where they completed their HAVO studies.
