Stephen Smyth

Stephen Smyth is an accomplished Director of Operations and Director of Acoustics at AWN Consulting Ltd., overseeing Ireland's largest acoustics team since April 2007. With a rich background in acoustic consultancy, Stephen has held various roles including Principal Acoustic Consultant and Senior Acoustic Consultant, where expertise in room acoustic modeling and environmental noise assessment was demonstrated across diverse projects in Ireland, the UK, and the Middle East. Prior to joining AWN, Stephen served as a PhD Student and Teaching Assistant at Trinity College Dublin, providing tutorials and laboratory work in mechanical engineering. Stephen earned a PhD in Acoustics and a 1st Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
