Johann Ropers

Johann Ropers serves as the Global Head of Hedge Funds and Partner at AXA Investment Managers since July 2018, following a role as Head of Fund Investments within the Alternative Solutions Team. Prior to this, Johann held the position of Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at JMH Asset Management Ltd from August 2011 to July 2018, and was a Portfolio Manager at Soditic Asset Management from April 2008 to May 2011, focusing on European equities. Johann's career began with Philippe Investment Management as a Portfolio Manager from September 2002 to March 2008, where Johann also worked within the CalPERS Manager Development Program. Johann's earlier experience includes roles as an Assistant Portfolio Manager and Equity Research Analyst at DWS Group. Johann holds a Master's Degree in Finance from KEDGE Business School and an MBA with a major in Finance from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management.
