Sergey G. has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. In 2009, they began their career as a Researcher/Software Developer for The Honeynet Project. Sergey then moved on to become a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto in 2010, followed by a Crypto Researcher at IBM in 2013. In the same year, they also took on the role of Course Instructor at the University of Toronto. In 2014, they became a Research Assistant at MIT, and in 2015 they founded and became CTO of stealthmine. In 2018, they were appointed Chief Cryptographer at Algorand, and in 2019 they became an Advisor at Private AI. Most recently, in 2020, they co-founded Axelar.

Sergey G. obtained their B.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Security Specialist from the University of Toronto in 2009-2011. Sergey then went on to earn an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the same university in 2011-2012. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2014-2015.
