Andreas Wittmann

Andreas Wittmann is a highly qualified professional with extensive experience in optical gas sensing and laser technology. Currently serving as Lead Technologist and Expert in laser-based gas detection at Axetris AG since October 2009, Andreas previously held the position of Senior R&D Engineer/Project Manager, focusing on tunable diode laser spectroscopy (TDLS). Prior to this, Andreas worked as a Doctoral Research Assistant at ETH Zürich, where the development of high-performance quantum cascade lasers was undertaken under the guidance of Prof. Jerome Faist. Additional experience includes roles at the Walter Schottky Institute, Nortel Networks, VIAVI Solutions, Hitachi Energy, and ABB. Andreas holds a Dr. sc. ETH in Physics from ETH Zürich, an M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, and a CAS in Business Management from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.
