Zhichao Zhang

Zhichao Zhang has been working in the technology industry since 2011. Zhichao started their career as a Special Assistant to CTO at Actiontec Electronics, where they built two engineer teams in China and led the implementation of Google Fiber Router, Cloud WebRTC P2P Box, SharpAI embedded AutoML Face Recognition System, Cloud File Syncing Box and Family Photo Syncing Mobile App. In 2019, they moved to FamilySmart as Technical Director, where they built up voice AI production leveraging microphone array's beam forming to reduce noise for far field voice recognition. In 2021, they joined LG Electronics as Staff Edge AI Engineer, where they redesigned the autonomous checkout architecture, switched from Python prototype code base to C++ code base with Deep Stream framework on Nvidia Jetson Nano/Xavier NX and AGX. Zhichao also trained models and deployed to OAK-D AI camera with Intel Movidius Myriad X VPU. Zhichao is currently working as AI/ML Architect at Axiado Corporation.

Zhichao Zhang attended Shanghai Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
