James Melton

James "JD" Melton is an experienced meteorologist currently providing direct meteorological support to the Missile Defense Agency’s Directorate of Flight Test Execution at Axient since August 2019. Prior experience includes over two decades with the United States Air Force, where James held various senior meteorologist roles, including providing weather analysis for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Army Materiel Command, and as a Weather Flight Commander overseeing operations in Turkey. James's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Transportation & Logistics Management and multiple degrees in Atmospheric Sciences and Business Administration, complemented by certifications such as the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
