Geospatial Project Manager, Federal at Axim Geospatial

Eric Morris has worked in the geospatial field since 2005. In 2007, they were a GIS Intern at Pennyrile Area Development District, where they headed the survey team for the collection and processing of all structure points and road centerlines, developed, distributed, and updated digital and hard-copy maps, and maintained the PVA boundaries geodatabase records. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a GIS Specialist II at SAIC, where their main duties pertained to the production of orthorectified mosaics of aerial imagery and LiDAR digital elevation models. In 2012, they were a Geospatial Analyst at Wiser Consultants, LLC, where they assisted in the development, analysis, and use of installation geospatial data. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Remote Sensing Specialist at TBG on-contract at the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, where their main duties pertained to maintaining inventory of lidar and landcover data for use, dissemination, and widespread distribution. Since 2016, Eric Morris has been a Geospatial Project Manager at Quantum Spatial, where they oversee project performance and coordinates estimation, acquisition, production, and delivery of all phases of multiple projects at a given time. In 2021, they began working as a Geospatial Project Manager, Federal at Axim Geospatial, where they lead project teams in the discovery, development, design, deployment, and dissemination of client needs and requirements, resolves issues as they arise, and coordinates and facilitates billing and invoicing for concurrent projects.

Eric Morris obtained a B.S. in Geosciences from Murray State University between 2003 and 2007. Eric then went on to get their M.S. in Geosciences from the same university between 2007 and 2012. In 2015, they obtained a GISP certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). Eric is scheduled to obtain a US Soccer 4v4 Coach certification from US Youth Soccer in January 2023.
