Paul Braun has an extensive work experience in the geospatial industry. Paul began their career in 1994 as a Graduate School at the University of Arizona, where they used spatial technology to aggregate environmental data. In 1996, they moved to the University of South Carolina, where they served as Campus GIS Coordinator, teaching GIS courses to students and faculty, and managing the University's site license for Environment Systems Research Institute's GIS software suite. In 1998, they joined GeoAnalytics, Inc. as Vice-President, where they developed business partnerships with software and service providers, managed monthly revenue forecasting and resource allocation, and implemented new procedures across the enterprise. Paul also launched the Chicago office and was responsible for project management and business development with existing clients in the Chicago area. In 2006, they moved to WennSoft as Project Manager and CRM Practice Leader, and then was promoted to Director of Sales, where they managed a team of direct and indirect sales representatives and started an inside sales team. In 2011, they founded and became President of Taking Autism To The Sky, Inc., and also joined Continental Mapping Consultants as SVP - Sales and Marketing, Chief Revenue Officer, Vice President of Strategy & Development, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In 2019, they returned to Continental Mapping Consultants as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Most recently, in 2022, they joined Axim Geospatial as SVP - Sales & Marketing. Paul has also held a Vice President role at AUVSI Heartland since 2016.

Paul Braun obtained a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1985 and 1991. Paul then went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Renewable Natural Resources and Renewable Natural Resource Studies from the University of Arizona between 1994 and 1996. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including Certified Technology Specialist: Managing Microsoft Dynamics® Implementations Methodology (2011), Certified IT Professional: Applications for Microsoft Dynamics® CRM 4.0 (2010), Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): SQL Server® 2008, Implementation and Maintenance (2010), Certified Technology Specialist: CRM 4.0 Customization and Configuration (2010), and Certified Technology Specialist: Microsoft Dynamics® CRM 4.0 Applications (2010).
