Steven Stonaker

Steven Stonaker is an Senior Product Engineer at Axiom Exergy. Steven previously worked as a well operations coordinator at the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement from November 2019 to March 2022. In this role, they were a subject matter expert and team leader in offshore well operations, supporting five field offices with a staff of 25 engineers in the Gulf of Mexico. Steven also planned and conducted quarterly engineering meetings, wrote standard operating procedures and internal guidance documents, and created checklists to comply with federal regulations, industry standards, and recommended practices.

Stonaker has a strong background in engineering and programming. Steven created standardized review checklists for Blow Out Preventer (BOP), Coiled Tubing, Riser (OWIRS), Riserless (RSWIS), and Subsea Pumping (SSPWIS) intervention systems. Steven also assesses annular pressures of fixed, hybrid, and subsea wells for operating envelopes, wellbore integrity, and production riser and tree integrity. In addition, they analyze P&ID drawings and schematics for hydraulic and pneumatic control systems of surface/subsea BOPs, coiled tubing, and well intervention units for emergency activation sequences.

Stonaker is also experienced in data requests using excel, VBA, MS Access for information submitted to congressional committees, government officials, and senior executive series management. Steven developed an application for determining sufficient fluid volume in hydraulic accumulation systems programmed in

Steven Stonaker has a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University. Steven also has a Responsive Web Design Certification from freeCodeCamp. In addition, they are certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Cloud Technical Essentials and by freeCodeCamp in Responsive Web Design. Finally, they are certified by the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) as a Professional Engineer (PE).
