Sonya Gavankar McKay

Sonya Gavankar McKay has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sonya currently works as the Director of Digital Strategy at Axiom Space since November 2022. Previously, they worked as a Host for The Tech Show from January 2017 with an ongoing role. Sonya has also worked as a Host for the Puppy Bowl Pre-Game Show at Discovery Communications, starting in 2015. Sonya is the Co-Founder of HerExchange, a platform focused on professional development, where they utilize podcasts, live workshops, and written content. Sonya served as the Digital Team Lead for the United States Space Force from March 2020 to November 2022, where they managed the organization's social media teams. Sonya also has experience working at the Newseum as the Director of Public Relations, Manager of Public Relations, and Correspondent/Producer. Additionally, they worked as a Host for Broadband Technology Report and NewsChannel 8 and as a Guest Host for QVC. Sonya also served as a Host for District Fete in 2013.

Sonya Gavankar McKay completed their high school education at Joliet West High School. Sonya then attended American University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Broadcast Journalism. Sonya also holds the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in August 2021.
