Tamer Hassanein

Tamer Hassanein is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology and venture capital. Currently serving as Chairman, President, and Board Director at Quanergy Solutions Inc. since August 2014, Tamer plays a pivotal role in advancing 3D sensing and AI-powered LiDAR technology. As a General Partner and Board Observer at Rising Tide since November 2011, Tamer has contributed to the growth of early-stage startups across multiple continents. Additionally, Tamer has advised Axiom Zen since October 2013, helped lead Timeline.com as President & CEO from November 2013 to April 2018, and co-founded Foghorn Games. Tamer's prior experience includes roles at Zong, where significant contributions were made leading to a $240 million acquisition by eBay/PayPal, and at Fuel, where Tamer was instrumental in promoting a social gaming network. Tamer holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, Real Estate, and Management from the University of San Diego.
