Jim Ross

Chief Technical Officer at Axion BioSystems

Jim Ross is the Chief Technical Officer at Axion BioSystems. Jim has been with the company for 14 years and 1 month, and in that time has led cross-disciplinary teams in the development of simple-to-use tools for life science instrumentation, medical diagnostics, and bioelectronic medicines. Ross has also been instrumental in raising money from investors and developing the business strategy for the company. Ross is also a member of the BME Advisory Board at The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University, where they have served for 5 years and 6 months.

Jim Ross attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002-2008, where they received their PhD in Bioengineering. Jim was also a NSF Graduate Research Fellow during their time at Georgia Tech. Prior to that, they attended Louisiana State University from 1996-2000, where they studied Electrical Engineering.
