Senior Product Designer at Axios HQ

Lise Sasaki has a diverse work experience in various design roles. Lise began their career as a Design Intern at Dwi Holdings Inc and Divatex Home Fashions in 2013, where they assisted with product development and created factory-ready artwork. Lise then worked as a Graphic Artist at Robert Graham Designs from 2013 to 2017, focusing on print and pattern development for luxury menswear. Lise continued their design career as a CAD Designer at Vandale Industries from 2017 to 2018, and as a CAD Assistant at Madewell in 2019. In 2019, they also became a Graphic Designer at High Life Apparel, LLC, working with well-known brands such as Reebok, KSWISS, Umbro, and Avia.

In 2020, Lise took on a self-employed role as a UX Design Apprentice, where they worked on a personal project with guidance from a mentor. Lise conducted user research, data synthesis, and created wireframes and prototypes for a mobile gift exchange app. In 2021, they joined MoneyStack as a Design Lead, playing a critical role in the early-stage fintech startup. Lise worked closely with product and research consultants, leading the design process from user research to delivering high-fidelity designs.

Lise's experience also includes working as a UX Designer at The New York Public Library from April to August 2021, and currently, they are employed at Axios HQ as a Junior Product Designer since September 2021.

Lise Sasaki pursued their education at the Rhode Island School of Design from 2009 to 2013. During this time, they completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Illustration. In 2017, they furthered their education by obtaining a UX Design Certification from General Assembly.
