Riley Butterfield

Riley Butterfield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as an Americorps Member at City Year, where they served from August 2015 to June 2016. They then became a Team Leader at City Year from June 2016 to June 2017. Riley then transitioned to Harlem Village Academies, working as a Classroom Teacher from August 2017 to June 2018.

In 2018, Riley joined Code Nation, initially as a Web Development Program Manager from July 2018 to June 2019 and later as a Communications Manager from March 2019 to September 2020. They then pursued further education at Fullstack Academy, where they became a Senior Software Engineering Fellow from December 2020 to May 2021.

Riley's next role was at One Drop, where they worked as a Fullstack Software Engineer from May 2021 to April 2022. They then joined Teachers Pay Teachers as a Software Engineer from April 2022 to March 2023.

Currently, Riley is working at Axios HQ as a Frontend Engineer, a position they started in May 2023.

Riley Butterfield attended the University of Puget Sound from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters. In 2020, Riley enrolled in The Grace Hopper Program at Fullstack Academy, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.
