Rebecca Falconer

Rebecca Falconer is an experienced reporter and editor currently contracted with Axios since February 2019, focusing on breaking news and audience growth. As a social media manager and digital strategist for ChargedAs, a phone charging station company, Rebecca collaborates with owner Bevan Haswell to enhance marketing strategies. Previous roles include News Director at Stuff.co.nz, where comprehensive multimedia stories were produced for a global audience, and as News Editor at HuffPost in London. Rebecca has also worked as a freelance multimedia news reporter, and held positions at Al Jazeera English, News Corporation, Yelp.com.au, the University of Canberra, and The Canberra Times. Rebecca holds a BA in Writing & Publishing Studies and a Higher National Diploma in Journalism from Middlesex University, along with a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and a BTEC National Diploma in Media Studies.
