Dusan Ruzic

Dusan Ruzic has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Dusan is currently serving as the Vice President of Manufacturing & Strategy at Axiota Animal Health since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Merck for over a decade, starting in 2011. At Merck, they held various positions including Director of External Manufacturing, Associate Director of Value Chain Management, Senior Scientist in Vaccine Process Development & Commercialization, Scientist in Vaccine Process Development & Commercialization, and Staff Engineer in Vaccine Manufacturing Science & Commercialization. Dusan'sresponsibilities in these roles involved leading tech transfers, providing production floor support, troubleshooting, and executing process qualification batches. Dusan also contributed to drafting SOPs and Master Batch Record sections, designing single-use components and capital equipment, supporting hazardous operations assessments, and planning and inventory assessment. Before joining Merck, they gained experience as a Biologics Pilot Plant Co-op at Merck & Co., Inc. in 2010, where they co-led a process analytical technology (PAT) system qualification project. Prior to that, they worked as a Co-op Engineer at Centocor Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company in 2009, where they conducted data analysis and managed a project to retrofit a lab. Dusan also served as a Process Engineer Co-op at Arkema, Inc. in 2008, where they performed cost-benefit analyses and coordinated energy monitoring programs. Dusan's early work experience includes a Research Assistant position in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Drexel University, where they designed and executed a project researching self-healing polymer-polymer composite materials.

Dusan Ruzic holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University. Dusan also obtained a Masters of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution. Prior to attending Drexel University, Dusan obtained their High School Diploma from RPHS.
