David Halfpenny

David Halfpenny has extensive experience in the insurance and underwriting sectors, currently serving as the Head of A&H Global Underwriting and SVP & Head of Specialty Accident & Health and Pet Insurance at AXIS Capital since August 2009. Prior to this role, David held the position of VP A&H at AIG from September 2007 to August 2009, and served as AVP A&H Reinsurance Underwriter at Endurance between January 2006 and September 2007. David's career began at Cigna, where important responsibilities included serving as National Accounts Underwriting Manager for Life, Disability, and Accident from June 1995 to December 2005. Earlier, David worked as a Financial Services Professional at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange from May 1991 to June 1995. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and has pursued various roles in business administration throughout the career.
