Harry Pylman has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Harry started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at Insurance Corporation of British Columbia in 1989 and held various roles within the company, including Acting Manager and Chief Underwriter/Dirctor Underwriting. In these positions, they were responsible for technical underwriting, reinsurance design and placement, product pricing, and actuarial analysis. Harry also chaired the Reinsurance Committee and developed reinsurance programs. In 2011, Harry joined ICBC as a Manager, Reinsurance & Pricing where they reviewed Catastrophe models and played a key role in developing reinsurance programs. In 2013, they joined Axis Capital as the Vice President Actuarial. Overall, Harry Pylman has extensive experience in actuarial analysis, underwriting, reinsurance, and leadership roles.
Harry Pylman completed Parts 1-5, C1, C2, PC, VE, VF & VS in Insurance Risk from the Casualty Actuarial Society by 2014. Harry also pursued an Executive Management Development Program at SFU and holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Mathematics from The University of British Columbia.
