George Garforth

George Garforth, PhD, is a data scientist with significant experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Founding Data Scientist at Axle Energy since July 2023, George previously held senior roles at NarrativeWave, including Senior Director of Client and Data Engineering and Director of Client Engineering from November 2020 to July 2023. Prior experience includes positions at Innogy Renewables UK Ltd as an Offshore Wind Performance Analyst, and a brief tenure as Senior Engineering Administrator at Lightsource Renewable Energy in 2017. George also served as a Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand in early 2017 and was a Departmental Assistant at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2012 to 2015. Educationally, George holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Master’s degree in Physics from The University of Sheffield.
