Yanling Liu currently serves as the Scientific Lead for Image Analysis and AI in the IDSS Section at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and as a Senior Data Science Manager at Axle Informatics, both since November 2021. Prior experience includes a managerial role in the Imaging and Visualization Group at Leidos Biomedical Research from September 2011 to November 2021 and various positions at SAIC-Frederick, culminating as a Bioinformatics Analyst IV. Yanling Liu began a professional journey with an internship at Siemens in medical image analysis and 3D visualization in 2007. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from George Mason University and both an M.S. in Communication Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science from Southwest Jiaotong University. Areas of expertise encompass AI and machine learning-based image analysis solutions, digital pathology, imaging informatics, scientific software development, and biomedical image visualization.
