Patrice Matchaba

Patrice Matchaba, MD, currently serves as a Board Member at AXMEDRx and is a member of the Board of Directors for Last Mile Health and The Capitals Coalition. With extensive experience at Novartis from 2002 to February 2023, Patrice led various roles including President of the Novartis US Foundation, Global Head of Global Health and Corporate Responsibility, and Global Head of Cardiovascular and Metabolism Drug Development Unit. Previous roles also include leading global drug development operations and drug safety. Earlier in the career, Patrice was a Senior Research Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council and practiced obstetrics and gynecology in private practice. Educational qualifications include an Executive Education program from Harvard Business School, Board Certification from the South African College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Zimbabwe, and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Lesotho.
