Pierre-Yves Mikus

Pierre-Yves MIKUS, PhD, is an experienced R&D Engineer at AXON' CABLE since January 2012, specializing in the development and characterization of new polymer materials and the modeling of radiation depth-dose distribution for applications in space and nuclear sectors, alongside managing R&D projects. Prior to this role, Pierre-Yves completed a PhD in Solid State Chemistry and Materials Science at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research, focusing on starch-based materials and their modifications. Pierre-Yves also gained valuable industry experience through internships at Trelleborg, Suez Environnement, and Newell Rubbermaid, working on projects related to material regulation compliance, recycling technologies, and product design. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering Science with a focus on eco-conception polymers and composites, a Licentiate degree in Engineering Science, and a Bachelor of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering.
