Carlos Trelles has extensive work experience in marketing and communications. Carlos started their career at Quinta Fresca as an Assistant from July 1992 to May 1994. Carlos then worked as a Marketing Communications Intern at CORPAC S.A. Oficial from January 1996 to April 1996. Carlos also served as a Public Relations Intern at CIESPAL from January 1998 to July 1998 and at ABP Agencia de Publicidad y Producción from January 1998 to July 1998. Carlos Trelles then joined Universidad de Piura as a Public Relations Assistant from 1996 to 1999. Carlos worked at LLYC in various roles, including Public Relations Consultant from January 2000 to December 2001, Senior Consultant from January 2002 to December 2003, Director from January 2003 to December 2004, and Business Unit Director from January 2004 to February 2005. Carlos then moved to Axon Marketing & Communications, where they served as the Regional Managing Director for Colombia, Peru, and Argentina from March 2005 to June 2010, Director for Latin America from June 2010 to July 2016, and Chief Executive Officer Latin America and US from July 2016 to present. Carlos Trelles is also an Advisory Board Member at Infomercado since March 2019 and at StoreON® Corporate since January 2021. Carlos has recently joined Kredas Digital Marketing as an Advisory Board Member in January 2022.
Carlos Trelles has a diverse education history. Carlos began by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication at Universidad de Piura from 1995 to 1999. Afterward, they enrolled at the University of Miami Herbert Business School from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Administración y gestión de empresas, (general). In 2016, they attended IE Business School for a brief period to study International Business.
Carlos Trelles continued to enhance their knowledge and skills with additional certifications. In 2020, they completed the Programa Softlanding Europa mentorDay with Aceleradora MentorDay. In 2021, they participated in the Leadership Masterclass with Pat Lencioni conducted by WOBI. Subsequently, in 2022, they obtained the Consultant Internationalization Support Program (PAI) certification from ProInnóvate Perú and completed the Angel Investor Training Program offered by Endeavor Colombia.
In addition to their formal education, Carlos Trelles engaged in an executive program called Innovation Experience Israel in 2022, where they studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Furthermore, they attended Cornell University in 2019 to explore Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations, although the specific degree obtained is not stated.
