Zoar Engelman

Founder and Chief Science Officer at Axon Therapies Inc.

Zoar Engelman has an extensive work experience in the field of biomedical engineering and research. They started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah in 2002, followed by a role as a Research Assistant at the Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, Zoar joined the Auckland Bioengineering Institute as a Researcher and Doctoral Candidate, where they worked until 2011. They then moved to Coridea NC1, Inc as a Senior Biomedical Systems Engineer from 2011 to 2012, and subsequently joined Cibiem, Inc as the Director of Research from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, Zoar became the Chief Science Officer at Coridea, LLC, a position they held until 2020. They then founded and served as the Chief Science Officer at multiple companies, including Axon Therapies Inc., EP SCIENCES, LLC, Corvent Medical Inc, and Deerfield Catalyst.

Zoar Engelman completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah from 2000 to 2003. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university from 2003 to 2005. They further advanced their education and obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from The University of Auckland between the years 2006 and 2011.
