Janne Lähteenmäki

Principal Engineer, Imaging Software at Axon

Janne Lähteenmäki has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. They began their career as a Trainee at Nokia in 2000 and gradually worked their way up to become a Principal Engineer, specializing in middleware software. Their responsibilities included designing camera systems for Nokia's future products, working with camera drivers and media transformation components.

In 2014, Janne joined Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer, where they initially served as a Principal Engineer in middleware software and later took on the role of Middleware Software Lead.

In 2016, they moved to Nokia Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer, focusing on automated test case development and debugging for image processing algorithms in OZO Creator application. They also played a key role in designing and implementing an auto exposure and ISP control library for VR cameras.

Most recently, Janne joined Axon in 2018 as a Principal Engineer in Imaging Software. The details of their role at Axon are not provided.

Janne Lähteenmäki obtained a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Tampere University of Technology from 1996 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Janne Lähteenmäki completed various online courses on machine learning and neural networks through Coursera, including courses on convolutional neural networks, hyperparameter tuning, regularization and optimization, structuring machine learning projects, neural networks, and deep learning.
