Mikko Muukki

Chief Imaging Architect at Axon

Mikko Muukki has extensive work experience in imaging and technology roles. Mikko is currently the Chief Imaging Architect at Axon, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, they were an Expert in Imaging and Video Technology at Huawei Technologies from 2016 to 2021. Mikko also worked at Microsoft as a Senior Architect in Imaging from 2014 to 2016, where they played a key role in shaping the imaging world with products like Nokia 808 and Nokia Lumia 1020. Before that, they had various roles at Nokia, including Principal Architect and Camera System Architect, where they were responsible for specifying functionalities for image sensors and camera modules used by Nokia. Mikko also worked as a Design Engineer at Patria, where they were involved in VHDL design, HW design, and testing for space applications.

Mikko Muukki obtained a M.Sc. degree in Microelectronics from Tampere University of Technology from 1997 to 2003. In 2014, they completed a program in Energy Usage and Savings in Apartment Buildings from the City of Tampere.
