Roman V. Grigorii

Roman V. Grigorii, PhD, is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in software engineering and haptic technology. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Axon since July 2024, Roman previously held the same title at Tarana Wireless, Inc., where Roman developed optimal DSP algorithms for gigabit wireless systems. At Tanvas, Inc., as a Haptic Engineer, Roman designed advanced algorithms for fingertip tracking and developed a software pipeline simulating touch panel dynamics. Educationally, Roman earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, where prior research focused on human-robot interfaces and tactile experiences, along with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's in Physics from Grinnell College. Additional research experience includes the development of nanostructures for computer memory applications and simulations related to exoplanet atmospheres.
