Rod Werner

Rod Werner is an experienced banking professional specializing in technology and venture capital banking. Currently serving as the Head of Technology and Venture Capital Banking at Axos Bank since August 2024, Rod previously held the position of Managing Director and Head of the Technology Banking Division at City National Bank from November 2012 to August 2024. Rod began a career in banking at Comerica Bank, where roles included Senior Vice President & Assistant Group Manager of the Venture Capital Group and Corporate Middle Market Banking Officer from August 1993 to November 2012. Rod’s early experience also includes work as a Senior Credit Analyst. Rod earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San José State University between January 1990 and January 1993.
