Marlies Boeren currently serves as a Market Access & Medical Affairs Manager at AxTalis, overseeing various tasks including budget impact analyses, reimbursement dossier preparation, and engagement with local key opinion leaders. Previously, Marlies was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Antwerp, coordinating a valorisation project, and completed a multidisciplinary PhD project in Virology & Neuroscience, focusing on the development of a human neuronal model to study varicella-zoster virus. Additional experience includes a role as QA Supervisor at Qualiphar NV, conducting quality assurance operations, and undertaking a Master Thesis Project on respiratory syncytial virus. Marlies also completed a pharmacist internship and has a background in administrative support. Marlies holds a Master of Drug Development and a Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Antwerp and is currently pursuing further education at EHSAL Management School.
