Charles Hoppensteadt has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Charles started their career at Newmarket International, Inc. in 1990 as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and held the position until 2001. During this time, they set the strategic vision and technical direction of the organization and participated in high-level international sales.
In 2002, Hoppensteadt worked as a Product Manager at Pegasus Solutions, where they were responsible for delivering advanced and affordable connectivity and distribution solutions to hotels worldwide.
Charles then joined Serenata IntraWare AG in 2002 as a Business Process Reengineering Consultant. Here, they developed a new methodology for evaluating potential new products and provided sales training on an economic justification model.
From 2003 to 2006, Hoppensteadt served as the VP of Solutions Development (R&D/Product Management) at Cyclone Commerce Inc. Charles led migration discussions for moving from a legacy product to a next-generation product and was responsible for the development and maintenance of enterprise-level products.
In 2006, Hoppensteadt joined Axway, initially as the VP of Technical Product, overseeing the integration of Cyclone Commerce with Axway. Charles then took on various roles within Axway, including VP of Sales Enablement in Berlin, Germany, and VP of Portfolio Solutions in Paris, France. Charles also served as the SVP & GM of Life Sciences Solutions and Principal Solutions Architect III during their time at Axway.
Charles'smost recent role at Axway, starting in 2020, is Sales Director. In April 2023, they will transition to their current role as VP of Sales, Key Accounts where they will be responsible for establishing direct sales, developing strategic territory plans, and meeting revenue and bookings commitments. Charles will also coordinate activities with clients and strategic partners to further establish Axway's presence in target verticals.
Charles Hoppensteadt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a specialization in HRIM from Michigan State University, where they studied from 1987 to 1990.
