Oluseye Popoola

Oluseye Popoola, PMP has over 14 years of experience in business development and project management. Oluseye is currently the Head of Business Development (Power Infrastructure) at Axxela, where they are responsible for executing strategic and growth initiatives in the power and gas sectors. Previously, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Axxela, focusing on new growth opportunities in natural gas infrastructure and associated areas. Before that, they served as a Business Development Supervisor/Lead, leading the development of gas and power opportunities and projects and coordinating activities on the divestment of two independent power producers (IPPs). Oluseye started their career as a Business Development Officer at Axxela, performing analytical tasks and developing financial models for potential transactions in the gas and power sectors. Prior to joining Axxela, they worked as a Graduate Trainee at Oando Plc and as a Business Development (NYSC) officer at Aero Contractors of Nigeria Ltd, where they gained experience in data analysis, troubleshooting, and processing flight and passenger information.

Oluseye Popoola, PMP has a diverse education history spanning from 1995 to 2023. Oluseye completed their secondary education at Ifako International Secondary School in Lagos from 1995 to 2000. From there, they attended Oxbridge Tutorial College in Lagos in 2000 and obtained a Cambridge International A Level in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

In 2001, Oluseye Popoola enrolled at Queen Mary University of London, where they pursued a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Oluseye successfully completed their studies and obtained an MEng degree in 2005.

To further enhance their professional skills, Oluseye Popoola has also obtained various certifications. In 2016, they earned the prestigious PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute.

In recent years, Oluseye Popoola has pursued additional education to expand their business acumen. In 2020, they completed the Certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School Online. The following year, they attended Harvard Business School Online once again to earn two more certificates: Certificate in Entrepreneurship Essentials and Certificate in Leadership Principles.

Looking to the future, Oluseye Popoola is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Oluseye is expected to complete this program in 2023, further strengthening their knowledge and skills in the field of business administration.
