Derek Peterson

Derek Peterson has worked in the marketing field since 1997. Theirwork experience includes roles such as Marketing Coordinator, Senior Sales Executive, Account Manager, Sales Director, and Marketing Manager. From 1997 to 2008, they worked as Marketing Coordinator for Amphenol AssembleTech, where they were responsible for creating product bulletins and marketing literature for upper management and assisting the sales force in locating new customers and new product markets. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Account Manager for Manconix Inc., managing multi-million dollar accounts and generating proposals from customer bill of materials and drawings. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as Senior Sales Executive for Hearst Media Houston, selling print and online advertising on chron.com and other digital products. During this time, they also worked as a Marketing Coordinator for Hollinden | marketers + strategists. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as Sales Director for Meli Marketing, where they were proficient in selling websites, Google SEM & SEO, email campaigns, social media, and press releases. Most recently, they have been working as Marketing Manager for Axxiom Manufacturing, Inc. since 2019. Additionally, they have served as an Ambassador for the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce since 2012, representing their company and promoting Chamber events and programs.

Derek Peterson obtained their Associate's degree from Wharton County Junior College in Business from 1992 to 1995. Derek then attended Sam Houston State University from 1995 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas (TX) from 2005 to 2007.
