Icia Madarang-Daway

Icia Madarang-Daway has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Icia currently serves as the Head Of Legal at Ayala Malls.

Prior to this role, they worked as a Legal Counsel at Ayala Malls, starting in January 2021 and continuing until December 2021. Before joining Ayala Malls, they were a Legal Counsel at Ayala Group Legal from July 2018 to January 2021.

Their earlier experience includes working as an Associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan from January 2015 to June 2018, and they also served as a Legal Intern at the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel from November 2013 to April 2014.

In addition, they gained legal internship experience at the University of the Philippines from June 2013 to November 2013, as well as briefly worked as a Legal Apprentice at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan in May 2012.

Icia Madarang-Daway completed their education at the University of the Philippines, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued further education at the same university and graduated with a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 2014, specializing in the field of Law.

In addition to their academic achievements, Icia Madarang-Daway has also obtained several certifications. Icia completed the iLEAP on Patents, Utility Models, and Industrial Design program at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines in March 2021. Prior to that, in February 2021, they completed the iLEAP on Copyright program at the same institution. Icia also obtained the iLEAP on Trademarks certification in June 2020, further expanding their expertise in intellectual property law.
